People attend exhibitions for various reasons such as for the business networking opportunities, trading opportunities and general acquiring of knowledge about various organizations that exist within the country that they might one day need assistance from

The aim of participating at various exhibitions and trade fairs is to intensify stakeholder and public education and awareness on BOBS products and services, especially those related to the;
·         General business sector
·         Imports and exports business sector
·         Construction sector and
·         agriculture sector to name a few

The Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) exhibited its services at the 2013 BOCCIM Northern Trade Fair in Francistown (BNTF) from the 30th May to the 1st June 2013. BOCCIM conducted the event under the theme; ‘Unlocking opportunities for a successful Citizen participation in the economy of Botswana’. BOBS participation at the BNTF was as part of the strategy of continually increasing public awareness about its national role in the economic and social spheres in Botswana.

BOBS has throughout the years managed to disseminate information to the wider population of Botswana through platforms such as these. The requests often received from these events reflect that the little the organization is doing in terms of information sharing, the community appreciates and are putting to good use the knowledge obtained. BOBS pledges to continually reach out to the rest of the country as issues of quality are not for a select few but for all in the society be it poor or rich people.

BOBS will be widening its spectrum of information sharing by visiting places as far as Shakawe, Gumare, Kasane, Nata and Tonota Hukuntsi, Kang, Mabutsane, Werda, Jwaneng, Kanye, Moshopa and Lobatse in October and November 2013
