Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering section has a mandate of testing building and construction materials as per relevant standards. The section has appropriate equipment to use in the execution of the testing as required or specified by the customer or regulatory body. The testing is performed by a well trained and very competent technical team using suitably validated methods and standard methods. The list of products covered in the testing  include:

  • Concrete masonry units
  • Burnt clay bricks (face bricks)
  • Concrete Pavers
  • Concrete and  Metal roofing tiles
  • Kerbstones
  • Cement
  • Lintels

The following tests are performed in the Civil Engineering laboratory:
