The 30th of July 2010 marked a great achievement for BOTSWANA EXPORT DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT AUTHORITY (BEDIA) as it was awarded with the BOS ISO 9001:2008 certificate.

Like any other organization that seeks certification there were hurdles along the way but BEDIA Management and their teams put a lot of effort into the development of the Quality Management System. BEDIA was the first outward investor promoting agency to be issued with BOS ISO 9001 certificate. It joined more than 750 000 organizations around the world which have been certified against the ISO 9001 standard.

The decision made by BEDIA to adopt the ISO 9001 standard was taken in order to reap the benefits of focused service delivery through consistent application of procedures and streamlined processes. It is fully committed to provide services that consistently conform to the requirements specified in the ISO 9001 standard.
