BOBS PARTICIPATES IN BOTSWANA INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

Ever since Botswana gained its independence in 1966 it has been celebrating the 30th Septemberof every year as a special day that marked a new dawn for the country.
This year, 2007, marked the 41st Independence Day of Botswana. As it has been the norm Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) took part in the parade under its mother ministry, Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).

On this day Batswana gather at various places such as stadium and dikgotla to celebrate with joy, as one big family and reflect on the meaning of their independence. In Gaborone, the celebrations are mainly held at the National Stadium and among the main events is the showcasing of different services and goods provided by various organisations.
