World Standards Day 2011 Commemoration
‘International standards – Creating confidence globally'

Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) as a National Standards Body joins International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to commemorate the World Standards Day. This year's theme is ‘International standards – Creating confidence globally'.
To commemorate the World Standards Day, the following activities will take place:

• A pre-recorded radio interview will be aired on RB1; Tsamaranyane – BOTEC programme on the 10th October 2011, between 1200h and 1245h.
• A press release will be published on the print media during the week starting 10th October 2011.
• A live radio interview will be carried out on RB2 on Thursday 13th October 2011.
• BOBS will be hosting a seminar at the Gaborone International Convention Center on October 14, 2011 at 0800hrs. Some members of the public who have served in the BOBS TCs will be honoured during the seminar. Attendance to the seminar is by invitation only.
• Post event adverts will be published on the print media (local newspapers).
